SUMMARY:
ACT ONE:
Four people, each accompanied by at least one friend, have come to the Paradise Lounge with the intent of murdering the club's singer, Cindy Jacobson. None of them knows the other murderers; therefore, does not know that they also plan to kill Cindy. As Cindy sings her first set of songs, the villains discuss with their accomplices the reason and method they've devised for Cindy's death. One by one, each of the would-be murderers sets a trap for Cindy in her dressing room.
As Act One closes, Cindy finishes her first set and leaves the stage. A lot of commotion, followed by a loud scream, is heard coming from the direction of Cindy's dressing room.
ACT TWO:
Each of the potential murderers is convinced that Cindy has been successfully killed during intermission and believes that he/she is personally responsible. The police enter and announce that they have come to investigate a crime. The patrons are told to remain in the lounge area while the police are in the office questioning the staff. With the police temporarily out of sight, each potential murderer decides to return to Cindy's dressing room to remove the evidence he/she left behind. After entering the dressing room, each one is killed by one of the traps set by another one of the villains.
The police return to the lounge to find four dead bodies, a variety of mysterious murder weapons, and a room full of "silent partners" who are no help in trying to unravel the mystery.
