Kitty's Notes
These two books are available through Samuel French. Hopefully there will
be more to come. Please take a look at them.
Psycho Night at the Paradise Lounge
Samuel French is in the process of publishing the third version of "Psycho
Night." First is the original, of course. Then in 1997 it was translated
into Dutch and published in Holland! The third version is one I'm very
excited about. "Psycho Night" is going to be produced at The Plush Room in
the York Hotel in San Francisco soon. The play takes place in a
cabaret/dinner theatre setting, which is how The Plush Room is set up.
Because it fits so perfectly, the manager asked me to customize the play to
The Plush Room and San Francisco. I had a blast doing this! I called my
Agent/Publisher and he was very excited about the project. I suggested that
this could be done for any theatre in any city. He agreed, and is now
publishing a "fill in the blanks" version so other theatres can do the same
thing. This will be a wonderful change of pace for theatres, dinner
theatres and cabarets.
If God Wanted Us to Fly He Would Have Given Us Wings!
This set consists of three one-acts, "Terminal Terror", "On Hold at 30,000
Feet" and "Identity Crisis".
"Terminal Terror" has two scenes. The first takes place in an airport
terminal, and the second is on board an airplane, where "terminal" takes on
a completely different meaning. When this premiered in San Francisco, it
was described as, "a comedy Twilight Zone episode."
"On Hold at 30,000 Feet" is about a airplane passenger who is deathly afraid
of flying. This is the third time he has been on board an airplane, but the
first time he actually stayed for the flight. He calls his psychiatrist so
he can talk him through the flight. Things don't exactly turn out the way
he thought they would. A tape of a production of this play is in the
process of being "spruced up" in the hopes of being sold to Fear of Flying
Clinics around the country.
"Identity Crisis" premiered in Hollywood last year. This was a prefect
place for this play to make its debut since it deals with a paparzzi who,
for once, doesn't get away with her lies and so called journalism!
